Install a MetaTrader indicator

Get the indicator file
Ask support for the .ex4 (MT4) or .ex5 (MT5) indicator matching your platform. The indicators are not on the downloads hub — the connector that automates them is.

Copy it into the Indicators folder
In MetaTrader open File → Open Data Folder, then MQL4 (or MQL5) → Indicators, and paste the file in.

Restart and attach
Restart MetaTrader, find the indicator in the Navigator, and drag it onto your chart.

Bridge it to your broker
Add the AutoSignal Connector — a free download for MT4 and MT5 — to the same chart and enter your signal key to forward its signals to AutobotSignal.

Common install problems
The indicator does not appear in the Navigator
- Why
- It was copied to the wrong folder, or MetaTrader was not restarted afterwards.
- Fix
- Use File → Open Data Folder, then MQL4 (or MQL5) → Indicators, paste the file there, and restart the terminal.
It draws on the chart but never triggers a trade
- Why
- An indicator only marks setups. Nothing is forwarded anywhere until the AutoSignal Connector is on the same chart with your signal key.
- Fix
- Add the connector to that chart, enter your key, and confirm signals arriving in the desktop app.

An indicator identifies potential setups — it does not predict outcomes. Test on demo before automating.
